Ambassador Wang Lutong publishes an article in New Zealand media to introduce the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China

    Recently, an article titled ‘A New Era, New Thoughts and A New Journey - Warm congratulations on the successful conclusion of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC)’ by Ambassador Wang Luotong was published in New Zealand media, including the New Zealand Chinese Herald, Home Voice and Skykiwi.com. The article provided a comprehensive overview of the significance of the 19th National Congress and its far-reaching impact on China, the world and China–New Zealand relations.

    The article pointed out that the 19th National Congress elected the new leading group of the CPC Central Committee,with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core, and Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era was clearly established as the guiding ideology of CPC and was enshrined into the Constitution of Communist Party of China. The Congress is a meeting of great importance taking place during the decisive stage in building a moderately prosperous society in all respects, and at a critical moment as socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new era. The 19th National Congress showed that socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new era, embarking on a new journey toward the building of a modern socialist country. China's development not only benefits itself but also brings development opportunities to the world. China promotes the building of a community with a shared future for mankind and supports multilateralism, trade liberalisation and innovation-driven development strategies, which will bring more opportunities for China and New Zealand to expand common interests and pragmatic cooperation. The Chinese side is willing to work with the New Zealand side to continuously enrich and deepen the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two countries to better benefit the two peoples.
