Mr Xiao Pei, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Supervision, visited New Zealand

   On 5-7 June, Mr. Xiao Pei, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Supervision, paid a visit to New Zealand. During the visit, the delegation met with Mike Bush, Commissioner of New Zealand Police; Richard Chambers, Assistant Commissioner of New Zealand Police; and Ombudsman Leo Donnelly, respectively. The delegation also had a roundtable discussion with representatives of the New Zealand side, namely from Crown Law office, Ministry of Justice, Department of Department of Internal Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and Serious Fraud Office. Ambassador Wang Lutong accompanied the delegation in these events.

   Vice Minister Xiao briefed the New Zealand side on the reform of China‚Äôs supervision system, and expressed his gratitude towards the New Zealand Government for its contribution to judicial and legal cooperation between the two countries. The two sides exchanged in-depth views and reached important consensus on further strengthening exchanges and cooperation between the supervisory authorities of the two countries.
