In January 2002, China Grand Acrobatic Troupe toured New Zealand.

In May 2002, Ms Caria van Zon, Artistic Director of New Zealand International Arts Festival visited China.

In June 2002, the first New Zealand Film Festival was held in China.

In September 2002, Xinjiang Song and Dance Troupe sponsored by the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries toured New Zealand.

In January 2003, Shaolin Martial Arts Troupe sponsored by CPAA toured New Zealand.

In March 2003, China Performing Arts Troupe toured New Zealand.

In September 2003, "Dinosaur from China at Te Papa" exhibited in New Zealand.

In October 2003, "Chinese Script from Oracle Bones to Conputer Bytes " exhibition was held in New Zealand.

In December 2003, the delegation headed by Li Mu, Vice Chairman of China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, visited New Zealand.

In February 2004, China Contemporary Art Exhibition was held in Wellington.
