Hon Phil Goff
Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of New Zealand
WELLINGTON

On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and New Zealand, I wish to extend my warm congratulations to you.

Since China and New Zealand established diplomatic relations 30 years ago, the bilateral relations have scored great progress. In recent years, we have actively followed the consensus charted by the leaders of our two countries and worked to build long-term, stable China-New Zealand all-round cooperative relations. Bilateral exchanges and cooperation in various fields have developed continuously. To further develop the China-New Zealand relations meets the interest of our two peoples and will ensure peace and development in Asia-Pacific region.

Taking the 30th anniversary as new starting point, I wish to work with your parts to enhance the China-New Zealand friendly and cooperative relations on the basis of the Five Principles of Peaceful Co-Existence.

Tang Jiaxuan
Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China
