On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and New Zealand, I wish, on behalf of the Chinese Government and people and in my own name, to extend our warm congratulations to you and through you, to the New Zealand Government and people.

Since China and New Zealand entered into diplomatic relations 30 years ago, the bilateral relations have developed on the basis of the Five Principles of Peaceful Co-Existence. Bilateral exchanges and cooperation in various fields have gone a long way.

To further develop the China-New Zealand relations meets the interest of our two peoples and will enhance peace and development in Asia-Pacific region. I wish to work closely with you to strengthen China-New Zealand friendship and cooperation and ensure their sustained and stable growth.
