On 15, 20 and 21 December 1972, John Scott, Permanent Representative of New Zealand to UN, and Huang Hua, Permanent Representative of P. R. China to UN, held three rounds of talks on the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. These are the original copies of the joint communiqué on the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and New Zealand signed by the two Ambassadors.
